We're Back!!

Great news...Dustin has accepted a job that will bring us back to Utah. He will be working for Provo Craft. Maybe you have heard of the company? He will be heading, infact starting, their Database Marketing and Marketing Analytics Department(s). Dustin starts his new job on Monday and I will be staying behind in Ohio to sell our house. We have four showings this weekend and that is promising, I think! So, it is just me and Diesel and a bunch of empty brown boxes that I need to start packing. Hopefully I will only be here another month or two.
We will most likely be living in the Draper area. If any of my DH buds can help me out with some employment I would appreciate it!
See you soon!

Niagara Falls

For our Porter Family trip we decided to go see Niagara Falls. We first spent a few days in Cleveland, but then made the three hour drive up to New York and Canada. The Falls were beautiful! Below are some pics of our vacation.

Summer Pics

So sorry to keep you all from my ever-so-interesting life, but I have just been so busy this past month that I have not been able to blog. Here we go...
First, my parents came to Ohio to visit us. We wined, dined, and managed to see two Indians Baseball games. My Mom bought me a hibiscus plant and we decided to annoy the dogs by making them sit, stay, and "smile" while we took their picture by the plant.
Second, Dustin and I went to Chicago to see Christy and Drew. We mostly wined and dined there, too, but also managed to take the Architectural Tour along the Chicago River. Diesel endured the five hour drive to Chicago with us...good thing we brought his pillow.
Third, I wanted to update you on the status of my vegetable garden. Everyday I go look at it and am just in awe that I can actually grow something edible. Who would have thought?...me with a green thumb! :) I manage to get a few cherry tomotoes and atleast one Big Boy Tomato everyday. Sadly, my peppers are struggling. Not enough sun I'm afraid.
Well that is about that! Dustin's family comes to visit next week and we are going to Niagara Falls. Pics of that to follow...
Lots of love to all my faithful readers!!

The Finger Lakes

Dustin and I went to visit the Finger Lakes region in New York this past weekend. It was a very relaxing weekend packed with visiting wineries along Seneca Lake (one of the Finger Lakes) and going to the Wine Festival. We stayed at a Bed and Breakfast and were able to hike in the Watkins Glen State Park.

Making a Vegetable Garden

Dena, "We should make a Vegetable Garden!"
Dustin, "Why?"
Dena, "It would be fun!"
Dustin, "But I have to do most of the work."
Dena, "I know."
Just thought I would let all of you know how most of our conversations go when I want something. I just have so many great ideas...poor Dustin!
Most of our yard is shaded, but I have an area by the garage that gets sun. This is the site of our Vegetable Garden.

This is Dustin using our rented Rototiller from Home Depot.

After Dustin prepped the soil I began planting my veggies and herbs. I planted Big Boy Tomatoes, Yellow Pear Tomatoes, Cherry Tomatoes, Red and Green Bell Peppers, Banana Peppers, Jalapenos, Basil, and Parsley. I also planted Marigolds between the plants to keep the Deer away. My garden also includes a trellis with a Joseph's Coat climbing rose and a Rhododendrun.

Springtime in Ohio

Dustin and I have been spending many hours in our yard planting grass, flowers, and shrubs. We spent seven hours this past weekend just doing mulch! When we first moved in last year, the people remodeling the house drove all over the front yard and the house was last owned by an old woman who could no longer maintain the yard. So, we had alot of work ahead of us. Yardwork is ALOT OF WORK, but we really enjoy it!

Here is Dustin fertilizing!

Just Cruisin'

Dustin and I just got back from a Caribbean Cruise!! We went to the Dominican Republic, St. Maarten, Antigua, and the Bahamas. We enjoyed time at the beach...sunning and playing volleyball, exploring the islands, shopping, and riding scooters in the Bahamas. We were able to enjoy the trip with friends from our childhood and were also fortunate to make new friends. Take time to RELAX!
